Putting legal definitions aside, at what age do you think someone can really be considered an adult?

View 500 Answers

that's hard to give an defendant answer. their is a maturity level to take into consideration. I had to grow up early in life. i Worked for the longest time. working two jobs and putting myself through college. taking care of myself. on the other hand my brother who is 32, acts like he is six. still lives at home with our parents, only works 24 hours a week and acts like he is pulling in 40 hour weeks.

on a side note, if someone is old enough to commit crime, and be destructive they are old enough for their punishments. a few weeks ago, three young boys came into the cvs i work for. their ages ranged from 8 to 10 years old. they stole almost $130 worth of digital cameras.
you cant say that they didn't know any better. they planned out the whole event. They have gotten kicked out for stealing cheap toys, only now they got caught stealing electronics and now at their young ages the store is pressing charges against them.

Have you ever ruined the ending or given away plot developments in a book, movie, or tv show by telling someone who hasn't seen or read it what happens? Has anyone ever done this to you?

not purposely. but i was taking an arts review class. and we had to watch a movie, and give an review on it. apparently i gave too much detail of the movie in my review. ahahaha my professor gave me a D and wrote the word spoiler on the top of the front page. ahahahaha

Have you ever stolen something and gotten away with it? Did you feel guilty about it later?

View 501 Answers

The smallest think i ever stole was an individual pack of "kool aid." this was back when i was like 6 and the supermarket sold them for like 10 cents. my dad caught me open up the package and eating is like one of those candy dip packs. LOL he yelled at me and paid for it. since then i have never taken anything without paying for it.

Working in retail seeing the dumb shit that people steal, i cant understand why. i was taught to work for everything that i have. i cant depend on someone else to take care of me. and i don't. i guess some people just get desperate. who know what goes through the minds of people who steal.

Woolworths shut its doors in the U.K. last week, sending many into a frenzy of nostalgia and bargain shopping. What now-closed store or chain do you wish was still open?

woolworths...... though>???????? we had one of those stores not too far from my house that closed when i was like 8 years old. didnt think they had any left.
Ok but getting to the point..... their are two stores that i hated when they closed. first it was a Tower Music store near my house that closed. it went out of business. they had three floors and a wide variety of music and movies to choose from. then a coconuts music store closed. not their really isnt a place to get a good cd without down loading music from the internet or paying way too much for it at best buy or some other crappy store like FYE

Today in 1893 U.S. President Benjamin Harrison declared full amnesty for Mormon polygamists. Is it the government's place to define which marriages are valid and which are not?

No its not. Marriage is dealt with by religion. And even then religious books are written by man. it is man's interpretations of what they think God meant. Man is imperfect. Who is one person to tell another who they are aloud to love.

A few years ago i was living with my brother and his family. It was one night when i was sleeping downstairs on the recliner. my brother had fallen asleep on the couch. his wife and kids were staying over her uncles house. I woke up in the middle of the night, and heard footsteps walking through the hallway on the second floor. i looked over and my brother was still asleep on the couch. i tried to ignore it but i just kept hearing the footsteps. so i walked half way up the stairs and didn't see anything so i went back down and sat on the chair. i heard noises coming from upstairs again so i went up. i heard sounds coming from the kids room, mind you they were not in the house. i opened the door and their toy shovel that was leaning against the toy box, flipped over and fell down. to say the least i was freaked out and went down stairs attempted to block it out out of my head and go back to sleep.

Cancelled flights, missed connections, long layovers—what's the worst holiday travel story you've heard? Or experienced?

Two years ago i flew home to Texas to visit my grandmother in between the fall semester and the first summer session. The visit their was great. The flight back was terrible. first of all they changed the time of the flight from el paso to Houston. but never called us to let us know. then when we got to the airport the bitch at the ticket booth never gave us our connection tickets from houston to phila. so we were stuck in bush national airport for four hours while they tried to get us on a flight home. i was traveling with my parents. so when they finally got us seats on a plane to fly home we were separated in the plane. Not to mention that it was raining and the ride was bumpy we had toddlers screaming and crying about how the plane was "going down" and to top this all off this was my first time flying.

Well it was not an e-mail but a text. I was in a room full of friends. And we were talking about a friend of ours. one made a comment about what he would sound like if her were having an orgasim. well i was text messaging a friend who happened to be in the room at the time saying "trust me that's not what he sounds like." but instead of telling my friend i sent the message to him by mistake.
