that's hard to give an defendant answer. their is a maturity level to take into consideration. I had to grow up early in life. i Worked for the longest time. working two jobs and putting myself through college. taking care of myself. on the other hand my brother who is 32, acts like he is six. still lives at home with our parents, only works 24 hours a week and acts like he is pulling in 40 hour weeks.
on a side note, if someone is old enough to commit crime, and be destructive they are old enough for their punishments. a few weeks ago, three young boys came into the cvs i work for. their ages ranged from 8 to 10 years old. they stole almost $130 worth of digital cameras.
you cant say that they didn't know any better. they planned out the whole event. They have gotten kicked out for stealing cheap toys, only now they got caught stealing electronics and now at their young ages the store is pressing charges against them.
